Saudi Crown Prince Meets Egyptian President to Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Security

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Tuesday at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The two leaders held a bilateral meeting followed by expanded talks. President El-Sisi welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to Egypt and stressed the depth of the relations between the two countries. Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality.

The discussions focused on the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and ways to further strengthen cooperation across various fields, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest in the Arab and Islamic worlds.

The two sides also discussed developments in the Middle East and efforts to enhance regional security and stability, including the security and freedom of maritime navigation. They stressed the importance of coordination between the two countries on regional issues.
